Feminist Life Coach and Organisational Process Facilitator

Shamillah Wilson

I am a feminist and social justice life coach. I support activists and leaders to navigate the internal (personal) and external complexities they face. My goal is to help my clients achieve fulfilment and wellbeing as they work to transform our world into a just one. Whether you are an entrepreneur, activist or changemaker, I am here to work with you to achieve greater fulfilment, freedom and success.

Resources for you

The social justice approach I follow provides a holistic coaching model that examines our complex realities and then taps into our resourcefulness in ways that can effect small (and sometimes big) changes-for-good internally and in the systems we experience. Each month we look at a different theme to explore together, and share thoughts and resources to help us stay grounded in purpose and intentional in our activism.

Podcast | Learning to let go of control, with Leungo Mothlabane

Have you ever felt like your need for control was holding you back?

In this powerful conversation, I sat down with public health practitioner and runner Leungo Mothlabane to explore what it means to loosen our grip on structure and embrace more spontaneity in our lives.

Leungo reflects on how control, while useful, can sometimes strip away joy, playfulness, and creativity. Together, we unpack how learning to let go has shaped her growth—both personally and professionally.

Are the futures we’re fighting for making room for eveyone to thrive?

In my one of my latest eBooks, ‘Radical Imagination‘, I offer an gentle but necessary invitation: may we dream beyond survival, may we build towards a joyous freedom, and may we understand that we have the power to build the world we yearn for.

New Pilot group for the life as an activist project

Invitation to join small pilot group for the Life as an Activist course

I’m looking for a few community members to trial this free first run of the course with me. You’ll get early access, shape the direction, and be part of a small, powerful group exploring how we live activism, not just do it.
Are you committed to social justice and curious about building a life that reflects your values and would like to trial the course?

World Environment Day (5 June 2025)

World Environment Day provides a moment to reflect on the expansiveness of climate justice.

In my work as a social justice coach, I see and experience the ways that our liberation is intertwined with the care we show to the planet we live on. Climate breakdown doesn’t impact us equally. It follows lines of race, class, gender and geography. The work of social justice includes listening to the land, honouring Indigenous wisdom, and transforming how we relate to power, consumption and each other.

Let this be a day of remembering, recommitment, and radical care; for people and the planet.

Free E-Books

Download books that explore finding the balance between seeking justice for others and working on healing for oneself and other topics of interest to activists.

Have you read any of these books?

In honour of Pride Month, we’re spotlighting five compelling books that amplify LGBTQIA+ perspectives, each a testament to the power of storytelling in shaping inclusive, empathetic communities.

  • The Black Flamingo by Dean Atta – Identity, creativity, and belonging.
  • Giovanni’s Room by James Baldwin – A timeless exploration of love and self-denial.
  • Detransition, Baby by Torrey Peters – Challenging norms around gender and family.
  • The Argonauts by Maggie Nelson – The intersection of queerness, theory and intimacy.
  • You Made a Fool of Death with Your Beauty by Akwaeke Emezi – Queer love, grief and renewal.

What you can expect working with me

I love what I do. I am passionate about unleashing the power and potential in myself and others.

My coaching, and leadership and organisational development, reflect my greatest passions – contributing to a just world and accompanying people on their journeys towards fulfilment. I draw on my own extensive experiences in social justice, leadership development, activism, social entrepreneurship, women’s rights and youth development.

I am curious about what it means to be in this world and how we can connect to a deep inner calling to live our lives with intention and achieve change, not only for the world but for ourselves. As I journey through life figuring this out, I am deeply guided by my politics of equity and justice, and my desire for personal joy, fulfilment and freedom. In other words, I believe we can have it all!

Working with me will help you achieve personal transformation, a new sense of wellbeing, and a plan to realise your goals.

Shamillah has helped me to believe that anything is possible. She helped me to see that (if) I am clear about what I want, and dedicate myself to that with consistency and commitment, then I could be content that I am doing what I need to for my life.
